[Docebo] Direct Access is forbidden

Post by docebogal »

I am experiencing a problem with the Teacher/Gradebook area on some courses.
When the gradebook link is clicked on the LMS side, the error message, "Direct access is forbidden." is displayed.

This does not display on all courses, only a few I have identified.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
thanks for your help.

Are you using Docebo or Forma?
First you can check the permissions in the course menu configuration, or try to re-assign the menu to the course

Thanks for your response and solution ideas.
To answer your question, I am using Docebo.
Menu change/reset doesn't seem to work.
When I investigate permissions - Admins have menu access to Teacher Area ( Learning Object, Question Bank, and Grade book - only).
Learning Object and Question bank access work fine - the error message only appears when I click on Grade book.
And it is only for a few courses; most course access to grade book work fine...
Any other things I should try?
Thanks for your help,

BTW - I imagine the problem is the same for both courses, as the first course was just copied to create the second.
students have already taken these courses, or I would just rebuild them.

The 2 courses where this error message comes up contain 79 LOs (although 39 are just uploaded files).
Is there a limit to the # of LOs? (or certain types of LOs like # of tests? or SCORM objects?)

I thought I'd tell you these things in case it helped you think if a solution.

Thanks again!

Alberto, I was hoping you had another suggestion for my problem.
What should I do next?
Any way to recover my course gradebook?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
thank you!

Hi, there is no limit to the number of LOs.
We never had this problem on our installations so I don't have a ready solution, it may depend on some old docebo bug so I'd suggest to first upgrade to the latest Forma release (even on a test installation) to see if the problem persist

Digging deeper, the problem appears to be more specifically related to the question bank, and maybe even to individual questions as well.
I'm unable to add a new question to a newly created test. When I click add question/SC, the same "Direct Access is forbidden" message comes up.
Any ideas to adjusting/fixing settings related to question bank?
thanks,

Here's the URL that comes up during the error message:
DoceboLms/index.php?modname=test&op=addquest

Also, I should point out, the problem is not related only to the teacher/admin level for question bank and gradebook access.
Students are also receiving the message when they click on specific tests. (when these same tests appeared to be functioning earlier).
Thanks,

Many things were fixed on the test and question bank modules in Forma, but now we are 4 releases away from the old docebo.
First I'd try to update your platform to Forma on a testing site to see if it would work, then try comparing your files with the new ones to see what's changed
