Reporting is the backbone of an LMS. Let's see the fundamental things every admin should know to make the most of this fundamental tool.

Why are Reports so Important?

One of the most important features of an LMS is the possibility of having detailed and customizable reports. Through reports, it is possible, for example, to know the date on which a user started a course, the last access, the quizzes carried out, and the relative scores.   4. Select columns and criteria within the chosen type

The reports can then be viewed online or downloaded in .csv or .xls format. They can also be automatically generated and emailed to chosen users.

Sending reports: to whom and when?

You can decide to send the reports periodically to selected users, for example, every week (choosing the day) or every month. It is important, however, to know who to send them to and when. For this reason, it is essential to conduct a training needs analysis so that the right reports arrive in the right hands ... at the right time, that is, when there is still an opportunity to intervene and offer employees targeted support resources based on performance and skills gaps.
