Forma LMS is an open source Learning Management System, built around the specific needs of corporate training. With Forma You can provide internal training to your employees, build an extended enterprise Lms (by providing training to your employees and your partners, dealers and sellers, each one with their specific courses, look and feel) or use Forma as a content hub with which you can sell your off-the -shelf courses to your customers.
The project is carried out by the forma.association, with over 50 members and 4.000 community users, which are constantly adding new features and making the software more complete and secure.
The LIST Group is a growing company that embraces the challenges of today's working environment. With more than 850 employees and continuous growth, the company set out to modernize its training system and make it more efficient.
Before implementing Forma LMS, the onboarding of new employees posed significant organizational challenges. All training sessions were conducted on a one-to-one basis – partly via Microsoft Teams, partly in person, depending on the participants' location. The geographic distance between locations often meant that trainers had to travel long distances and attend multi-day off-site appointments.

With an estimated 10–20 new employees per month, this resulted in considerable administrative effort for the training coordinators.

The LIST Group primarily uses the LMS for SCORM-based e-learning courses. New employees follow a structured learning path that they typically complete within their first few days on the job. All courses are accessible at any time, ensuring maximum flexibility.

Employee feedback has been positive across the board. New hires find the e-learning courses excellent because they can learn at their own pace, enjoy flexible scheduling, and revisit information at any time. From the start, the company made sure to involve the team assistants responsible for onboarding. The e-learning courses now free them from having to organize in-person training sessions.
The content and quality of training remain consistent, even though learners naturally come with different backgrounds and learning preferences. The combination of e-learning and personalized support from colleagues on-site and via the helpdesk effectively balances these differences. The LIST Group is highly satisfied with the results.
What started as an IT onboarding solution has quickly evolved into a comprehensive learning platform. The company recently launched its first mandatory training for all existing employees: an AI training course.
